Atlantis, your transatlantic campus

ATLANTIS (Actions for Transatlantic Links and Academic Networks for Training and Integrated Studies) is a jointly financed and managed program between the EU and the USA for higher education cooperation actions requested by universities and higher education institutions under various formats.

It finances the development of joint or double study programs (degree/master’s) between at least one European university and a US university. The transatlantic mobility of students and lecturers for periods up to one complete academic year are financed as part of these transatlantic programs, using systems for recognising credits and fee payment similar to those used in the ERASMUS program.

It finances bilateral curriculum development projects through short term exchanges of students and lecturers between two universities that are collaborating academically, even though they do not have an objective to establish double or joint qualifications.

Finally, it provides funds for joint curriculum development projects, credit recognition and education instruments of mutual interest between non-university higher education institutions (professional training).
