Spain has supported this great European civic project called the Bologna Process since the beginning. It has established all the institutional and legal foundations required to implement a university system capable of training people with civic spirit, intellectual principles and professional capacities that are recognised both within Europe and beyond its borders.
Without losing sight of the 2010 schedule, it created a system that comprises the Spanish quality evaluation and accreditation agency (ANECA), the Register of Universities, Centres and Qualifications and the Universities Council in order to introduce a new range of qualifications based on the principles of the European Higher Education Area.
