
The European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) brings together universities, polytechnic institutions, colleges and postgraduate schools, such as university research centres, whose mission is to train high-level professionals.
EURASHE was founded at a meeting in Patras (Greece) in 1990 with a mission to improve the excellence of higher education in institutions in EU Member States and other European countries.
It also seeks to:
- Increase transnational cooperation between its members.
- Provide a platform for exchanging perspectives and experiences in higher education.
- Promote cooperation between institutions inside and outside the European Union.
- Create strong ties between organisations such as the EUA, ESIB and UNESCO.
